Sting Injured, TNA Announces a Match for Monday's iMPACT

Jeff Hardy
Partial source: ProWrestling.net

- TNA has announced Mr. Anderson and Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle and The Pope for Monday's taped iMPACT. For some reason beyond comprehension, they have not advertised the main event of AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy.

- Sting was limited to what he could do in the ring at last Monday's iMPACT due to a shoulder injury. Sources report that Sting underwent shoulder surgery recently so his in-ring work will continue to be limited until he is fully recovered.

Sting Hogan and Ric Flair can have a wheelchair match.

I can see Them all in their restbeds, trying to thumbwrestle each other and have it on TV lol

It should only take him a month at the most to fully recover from shoulder surgery - unlike Taker who desperately requires more surgery. Sting did more in the ring than Taker has in a single match in the last year.

I honestly do not care if them older guys still wrestle. They just need to have the younger guys fight each other more and have more air time. Them old guys can wrestle like for an opener or a mid match, but just for a 3-5 minute match.

TNA has soo much younger talents.  Them older guys should be trying to push them, by having them young guys win over the older ones.
WWE  should have already pushed for a new Champ and storyline.
Example MVP should be champ already on Smackdown
Christian should be IC US champ for now
Swagger should be going for the gold on raw
The Miz should be champ, to continue that "In your face Cena, I beat you " story bit

Well yall get what I mean.

omfg... here we go again... time to bring some people back from the fairy world of tna marks and return you to reality... lets just take a look at these old guys over 40 and see exactly how they stack up...

tna... hulk hogan, jeff jarrett, kevin nash, kurt angle, mick foley, nasty boy knobs, nasty boy sags, raven, ric flair, sting, and scott hall...

The WWE... batista, shawn michaels, william regal, triple h, goldust, kane, kung fu naki, and the undertaker.

if you look straight up at the talent listed above... tna only has 3 of their old guys that can still go... jarrett, sting and angle... the rest have constantly embarrassed themselves in the ring... and sting and jarrett have had a ton of time off...

the WWE has goldust and funaki that are jobbers... regal and kane who can still go, but are underused... the other guys are injury prone... but are still main eventers... each has put on some really good matches... they are not all "great" anymore... but by all means dont embarrass themselves... and that includes the taker, who is absolutely injury prone, and barely held together anymore...

but the comment that was the most absurd thing i have ever heard?... "Sting did more in the ring than Taker has in a single match in the last year."... how f*cking stupid can that be?... in the last year... taker had a great feud with cm punk, with many quality matches... did fine against big show and batista to close out 2009... held his own against rey mysterio... and certainly was respectable in the elimination chamber... lets not forget his feud with shawn michaels this year... which will produce at worst a good match... and one year ago had the match of the year with shawn michaels at wm25... let me repeat that... match of the year...

so... even with the taker being in rough shape... how exactly again did he not do better than sting?... lets just make this easy... he didnt... sting is doing pretty good for his age... but not that good...

if sting is not healthy... then he shouldnt be in the ring... he is one of the few guys tna has that actually has name value and can put on a decent match... rushing him back for a not well thought out heel turn can easily backfire... more importantly... the guy is 50 years old... and surgery takes time to heal, and even more for old guys... but in typical tna fashion... if you are old you get tv time... and lots of it... which certainly doesnt help the future of your company to ride out your success based on a 61 year old, 56 year old and 50 year old... but folks... thats tna logic...

I yield back the reminder of my time.  haha.  Your Sting/Taker comparison is dead on with no need for debate.

What's up with all these tag team main events? This goes for both WWE and TNA. Can we please start getting some more singles matches. Or if you have a tag team match, have the teams competing in it actually be a real tag team--i.e., have them actually be in contention for the tag championships.

And Hardy vs Styles... I've never been crazy about either one of these two but I won't judge until after the spotfest.
